A quiet, considered space for real change.

You don't have to keep managing it alone. I offer warm, evidence-based therapy for adults — in English, Arabic, or French.

01 — Approach

A space that feels safe enough to be honest in, structured enough to move forward from.

Josephine Younes

My work is evidence-based and integrative — drawing primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassionate Inquiry, and mindfulness-integrated approaches. In practice, that means I listen carefully to the patterns of your life, help you understand what's keeping you stuck, and build the tools to move with more freedom.

I bring a multilingual lens — English, Arabic, and French — and a genuine attunement to the cultural texture of life in Dubai: high-pressure careers, identity shifts, family expectations, and the complexity of living between worlds.

"Most of my clients aren't falling apart. They're just quietly tired of feeling stuck."

You don't need to be in crisis to begin. Many of the people I work with are functioning well on the outside — and quietly exhausted on the inside. That tension is a perfectly good reason to start.

03 — Is this you?

This might be for you if…

You're holding it together on the outside, but feel exhausted in a way that's hard to explain.
You find yourself stuck in the same patterns — in relationships, at work, or in your own head.
Life has changed significantly and you haven't had space to process it.
You've been thinking about therapy for a while, but weren't sure where to start.
You want support that's practical and grounded — not just someone to talk at.
04 — What clients say

In their own words.

“I came in barely sleeping and constantly on edge. I didn't think therapy would actually change anything. It did — I feel like myself again for the first time in years.”
Sana · Dubai
“I'd been functioning fine on the outside for so long I didn't realise how stuck I actually was. Working with Josephine helped me understand what was going on and finally start to shift it.”
Ahmad · Online session
“I was nervous to start. The first conversation made it feel low-pressure and safe. I'm so glad I took that first step.”
Alison · Dubai

05 — About

A practice built on listening first.

I'm Josephine Younes, a CDA licensed psychologist based in Dubai. Before training in psychology, I spent nearly two decades in senior creative and client-facing roles across Dubai, Amman, and Beirut — work that gave me a deep attunement to communication, cultural nuance, and the particular pressures of building a demanding professional life.

That background shapes how I work: practically, collaboratively, and with genuine respect for how full and complex your life outside the therapy room actually is.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, stress, low mood, grief, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. My approach draws on CBT, Compassionate Inquiry, and mindfulness-based practices — always adapted to what you actually need.

06 — How it works

Starting therapy can feel like a lot. Here's exactly what happens.

i.

Reach out

Send a short note through the form below or email me directly. I'll reply within two business days.

ii.

Connect

We talk briefly about what's bringing you in and what you're hoping for. No pressure — it's a conversation, both ways.

iii.

Begin

If we're a fit, we schedule a first session. If not, I'll do my best to point you toward a colleague who is. Either way, you leave with a next step.

07 — FAQ

Common questions.

If your question isn't answered here, just ask in the contact form — I'm happy to talk it through before we book anything.

Most people who reach out aren't in crisis — they're tired, stuck, or quietly unhappy and ready to look at why. That's a perfectly good reason to begin. Get in touch and we'll take it from there.
Yes — I offer both in-person sessions in Dubai and online sessions via secure video call. Get in touch and we'll find the format that works best for you.
Insurance coverage and payment options will be discussed during our intro call.
It varies. Some people come for a focused 6–12 session arc around a specific issue; others stay for a year or more as life evolves. We'll review progress regularly and you're always free to step away — therapy should never feel like an obligation.
Yes — with rare legal exceptions related to imminent harm, which we'll go over in your first session. Your records are kept securely and never shared without your explicit written consent.
That's normal and important to honour. If at any point the work doesn't feel right, I'd rather we talk about it openly and — if needed — I'll help connect you with a colleague who might be a better match.
